I've worked at Puzzler for 10 years, during which I've enjoyed editing a number of puzzle titles, mainly crossword-based. Currently I'm the editor of Q Crossword Selection.

I've always enjoyed playing with words, and am fascinated not just by their meaning, but by how they relate to one another, and by the 'secrets' within words. Finding out that 'enraged' is an anagram of 'angered' or that 'desserts' is 'stressed' backwards really makes my day!

I'm also known by a number of aliases in various newspapers, notably as Paul writing cryptic crosswords for The Guardian newspaper.

My interests mainly include travel, fitness, and supporting my favourite football team, Brighton and Hove Albion.
